Nice tube pre-amp. Bare bones, with two 12AU7's biased in class "A" operation. Availability of the hi quality 12AU7 tubes, stopped me from upgading it to A, or B version.

How does the Pass Aleph 3 sound with the Cary SLP 50? This combo sounds like it might work. I have a AES/Cary AE3 DJH preamp (bit more modern design of SLP 50). I just sold my Linn Klout poweramp and I am on the hunt for another poweramp. I am considering tubes, but have been intrigued with Pass 3 or 30. Can the Pass 3 be left on continually, also? I also have homegrown speakers using 5 1/4" Seas Excel magnesium drivers in a MTM configuration...just awesome.
I hope you are glad to take my advise on Cary. 12Au7 Cifte or original Mazda will outperform any current 6922. I do not know about your speakers? Those two 8" shure could use some more power. But you seem happy?!
