Description

I was surprised to find this system - how good an 1k system can sound! It had me dancing for an hour. The sound will energize you to finish aerobics effortlessly - my exercise solution.

The Athenas do not have transparent tweeters, but the mid is so pleasant and clear - you will love it. Adding the sub and miking a 3 piece system was the solution I had been searching all this time - wasting money upgrading.

I like the sound of 2 way better than 3, and with a sub, I can have 2 way and a full sound. If you are not satisfied with your monitor speaker, try this $74 sub (www.etronics.com) to warm up the sound. It is mesmerizing.

The sub is obviously not a high end item - can sound harsh when pushed hardm, but then you shouldn't hear a sub as a separate entity anyway - just to add warmth to an integrated sound.

Used this way, sounds fine. I found my sonic nirvanah in this 3 piece system - affordable even for students.

If you want to give a system to your kids, this is an affordable option. You can also use NAD c320bee (www.dmc-electronics.com) is you don't want an old Marantz.

I hope this system gets you excited and exercising, as it does for me.

thanks, Gonglee! I will check the package out and ask my friend to take a look.

Re. Audiogon format of showing the price of each component, I wonder if they can show the pricing of all audio components at one glance -- that will be convenient.
