A little bit of Paradigm, Velodyne, Emotiva, Monster, Oppo, and Integra...this system has been a work in progress since I was in junior high. I started out with Sony components, switched to Denon, and am now mixing it up a bit. That goes for the speakers, too. I began with a JBL 5.1 system (Studio Series), but once I was in college I switched to Paradigm, because my brother had them and I liked them, too. I just made the jump from a receiver to a pre-power system and the difference is clear. XLR is the way to go from now on for me. I have a few things left on the wishlist, such as Paradigm's ADP surrounds and a deeper bigger sub. But since I am in an apartment, I'll wait for something a little more stable before making those moves. This will work for now...
System edited: Just added a new amp for surrounds, replaced my Paradigm Monitor cc390 with a Paradigm Signature C3v3, and the girlfriend bought me a Logitech Harmony 1000 (so we can both use the setup now)...Been doing some research on a subwoofer, and for the price vs. specs the Goldenear Technology subwoofer series seems like the best idea. Any thoughts??
Working well with some swell gear. The bug did not bite me until in college. Smart in having the components to make the system easy for your lady. Leads to a hassle free life.
Nice system which you have made better and better. Happy listening.
