My 2CH system. Very pleased with performance, the Maggies are in my opinion very hard to beat unless you have loads of extra money. After going through speakers from: Def Tech, B&W, AV 123, Paradigm, Jamo, Thiel and Monitor Audio I realized that nothing pleased my ear like the Magnepan's. Also wanted to show all the wife's system, yep, the wife. No need to worry about WAF when the wife loves audio & music and has her own system to enjoy. Wife's system as follows: B&W CDM1's, Paradigm stands, Pioneer Elite VSX-37TX, Rotel CD/DVD, Furman power conditioner, Studio Tech rack, Kimber Kable 4PR speaker wires, MIT interconnects.
You are 100% correct. No 'glazed over eyes' here.....While some of our musical tastes are of course different we share a common love for great music and great sound.....
You are very lucky to have a spouse whom loves music as much as you do. When you talk about favorite artists and or components, at least you do not get the eye's glazing over look! Very cool, nice duel systems. Cheers.
Thanks for your comments. The two systems are in different parts of our home and she has the option to simply close a door as her system is set up in a spare bedroom that we simply have no other use for. Most often we find ourselves sitting together listening to one or the other and not very often are they both going at the same time......
Yep, I'm sure those Maggies sound sublime. I listened to a pair only once, many years ago (with a big Perreaux amp and some fabulous vinyl set-up) and I still remember it as a defining moment in my audio journey!
But, sorry to say, your wife's system has the better eye appeal!
.....nah just teasing you a bit....
Nicely executed systems. I was wondering if they are sonically isolated from one-another. Does music from one system ever compete with the other?
