Beginning as a Rotel based system, my setup is slowly evolving in the pursuit of sound and input flexibility.
I love picking up old gear and swapping it in to hear the differences in sound, and many items have already passed through my system, most of which I still haven't been able to part with yet!
I would like to extend the system to support multi-channel A/V, primarily via a pre-processor that supports HDMI ins/out and vision switching. However this will only be providing it has a 2 channel pass-through for my 2 channel sources (turntable and CD player).
At it's heart though this is a 2 channel system and will remain as such, as music appreciation is it's primary function.

Rega RP3
The RP3 follows Regas Planar 3 deck. It is fitted with a brand new hand assembled RB303 tonearm, precision main bearing and a low vibration low noise 24v motor assembly which is individually hand tuned to its circuit to further reduce vibration. Also now features a strengthening brace (which is made from hard phenolic resin) between the arm base and main bearing

Update of the RB-300 tonearm. Featuring a brand new tube with increased rigidity to the bearing housing, arm carrier and headshell coupled with intelligent redistribution of mass ensure this arm will exhibit fewer points of possible resonance.
Ortofon 2M Blue
2M Blue Moving Magnet cartridge. The 2M Blue features a nude elliptical diamond. To obtain a flat frequency response as with a Moving Coil cartridge we are using the slit pole pins to reduce the eddy current. The slit pole pins is an Ortofon invention which was presented in the 500 series and the Super OM series. The 2M Red and 2M Blue both have the same engine with slit pole pins.
