Had not really thought of putting a system together, but that all changed when I found the Marantz CD 67se. Then little by little I found the other pieces to go with it. It's amazing what you find some days at pawn shops. I think it's a cool system for $250 dollars. Not sure what i'll upgrade or purchase next, Maybe a single well tape deck. Hope you all enjoy my $250 dollar system. Just added a denon DRM-650s that I traded a remote for it.
Marantz is proud to announce the release of our first new tuner in over five years, and this one is XM-Ready! We have a long history of producing the best tuners in the industry and the ST7001 is no exception. Found it at Ez Pawn for $50 Didn't have the remote but was in awesome condition.
Marantz CD-67 se
Great buy at Ez Pawn for $40 dollars. Was in excellent condition.
Harman Kardon HK-6250
Was a mint in box purchase from Ebay for $100 dollars and that includes the shipping cost.
Monster Cable Monster 402 XLN® XTREME Cable
Using two 3 foot pieces with 24k gold monster ends.
Monster Cable 200i
An advanced performance audio interconnect for smooth, balanced sound from CD and DVD players, cable/satellite receivers, and more. Monster® 200i quality construction includes two balanced conductors plus a shield for lower noise floor and more accurate sound reproduction.
Wharfedale Diamond II
Diamond II speakers. Found a matched pair for $25.00 Took them to listen up audio. They tested and checked them out. Rated them at 8/10 because of small tear in the fabric of one speaker grill and 2 small chips in the blk paint. Sound quality was exceptional. Told me it was a great find.
Denon DRM-650S
Added to my system free thru trade. Top sound quality with ferric and chrome makes this deck a steal.
Not bad at all. Just goes to prove that, with patience, anyone can put together a decent music system on a beer budget. And should you decide to upgrade, the CD-67se and tuner should still continue to serve you well for years to come.
