Complete with upgraded V-Caps for the capacitors. The Capitole CD Player Reference has been designed with the idea to equal the SACD and DVD performance. This is the ideal player for discerning audiophiles with a huge CD collection and not willing to go for new digital formats. First, we selected a high-end laser mechanism from Philips for its excellent playback performance, long lifetime, low play noise and long product life cycle. Supported by a specific aluminium suspension, its excellent readability allows to retrieving a maximum of CD’s data. Then, we included the state-of-the-art in digital processing : our exclusive STARS ® process (Solution for Time Abstraction Re Sampling), a combination of very high speed 192 kHz RE-sampling (a new jitter free clock is created), 24 bit re-quantization and signal enhancement techniques (extraction of “hidden” information from 16 bit data, improvement of dynamic, precision, soundstage and details), developed for Audio Aero by Anagram Technologies SA. The core of the system is a 32 bit SHARC DSP which, by performing hundred millions of calculations per second, rebuilds a high precision 24/192kHz signal, independent from the input clock, and keeping total dynamic range in all stages. Then, after a 1024 times up-sampling on demand, D/A conversion is performed at 6.144MHz by a high performance 24 bit / 192 kHz DAC. Analogue output stage features sub-miniature tubes and high precision buffer with built-in high quality volume control for a perfect match between high-tech digital treatment and musicality.

What a pre-amp and only just using half of it at this stage. So much detail and depth. The DUAL has two seperate preamplifier sections with two sets of outputs. Both sections are high bandwidth, full range preamps with low output impedance capable of driving any power amplifier . One preamplifier stage uses a 6SN7 driving a 101D Directly Heated Triode which is transformer coupled to the output. DHT tubes are famous for their inherant transperancy, but this application takes the sonics into new areas of unvieled clarity and vividness. Only a DHT tube can provide real holographic imaging that is the ultimate in musicality . The sonics are liquid and frightenly lifelike with fantastic speed and resolution. This is not a slow and warm" tube" sound , but a sound that is close to the life of the music. Pure Emotion. The other preamplifier stage uses a 6SN7 driving a 6H30 tube in White Follower configuration. This gives superb response both in bass and treble bandwidths , and gives state of the art performance into any amplifier. Perhaps not as musically satisfying as the 6SN7-101D , it nevertheless has deep effortless bass and extended bandwidth way beyond audibilty. Having two seperate preamplifier stages opens up the possibility for bi-amping using dedicated preamps/power amps for bass and mid/treble. You will need a speaker that is capable of being bi-amped, ie the crossover will be split into bass and mid/treble sections with the terminals for each section brought out to the outside of speaker cabinet , so there will be two sets of terminals. You will also need two separate stereo amplifiers or 4 monoblocks . Ideally one would use a tube amp for the mid/treble and perhaps a solid state amp for the bass. Both preamp outputs will drive both tube and solid state amps. The preamp has a separate gain control for the 6H30 section mounted on back panel, and master control for both sections is on front panel. However both preamp stages can be used entirely independently of each other - indeed you may just wish to use one section to drive your power amps.

Beautiful pair of high efficiency speakers rated at around 96 to 98 db. The ribbon tweeter is absolutely fantastic. This baby really sings and is my find of the decade. The Pr1 combines a very unique blend of bass reflector and unconventional rear loading without the traditional cupped-hands colorations or slow, ill-defined bass typical of all ported designs. The main driver is a custom-built 8" unit of our own design mated to the Neo ribbon. At 43" x 11" x 14" HxWxD, the dimensions are deliberately living-room friendly while the combination of piano-gloss lacquer on the sides, real black leather on top and front and exotic red Jarrah wood for the scoop will appeal to even jaded interior decorators. A true 2.83V/ 1w/1m sensitivity of 94dB combined with a nominal 10-ohm impedance that never drops below 8 and doesn't rise above 19 welcomes low-power tube amps as well as high-power solid state.

Any great find. Pure silver ribbons 6 of them to make this interconnect. This is truly a magnificent cable. A clear step-up from the Litz-3 the PSC Custom utilizes the same Litz-3 design but doubles the amount of fully annealed Pure Silver ribbons. More twisted pairs and twice the ribbon conductor surface area creates a smoother, richer sound with greater and deeper bass. The extreme sensitivity to micro-detail against a very quiet background is further enhanced. Small details that make a big difference such as permanent elimination of contact resistance between the conductors and the terminations have been addressed through proprietary methods. In this case hearing really is believing and you'll not be disappointed!

It's all about synergy and this one fit the bill perfectly. Added just the right amount of body. Used between source and pre-amp. Only difference between this and the standard custom is that the shield is much closer to the conductors

Another gem from PSC. Pure silver ribbons again 6 in each run. The PSC Custom is an absolute treat to listen to for hours on end. It incorporates much of the same design as the PSC Litz-3 but uses twice as many pure silver ribbons in its construction. The plus and minus leads are separated in separate sleeving and artistically covered in high quality soft Australian black leather. The resulting sound is smoother and quieter with more deep base than the Litz-3. The terminations are heavily pure silver plated and connected to the ribbons in a proprietary manner that eliminates resistance in the connections. No smoke & mirrors, just uncomparible beautifully balanced natural sound over the entire audio spectrum down to the most subtle micro-detail.

Silver plated copper power cord. I'm using three of these at the moment. Through application of material science, some basic physics, many iterations, and a lot of listening this design has proven to be a very solid contributor for many years. The design uses a few strands of large gage solid core 6N copper plated heavily with pure silver. Properly insulated in an air dielectric the conductors are twisted for natural shielding purposes. Both the IEC plug and the 120vac plug are heavily gold plated for corrosion resistance and to help achieve the desired sonic performance. The result is sharp natural imaging, smooth but detailed mids and highs, and solid fast bass. A great performer with all your audio and video components.

I made three of these 2.4 meters high and 1.2 meters wide. Each is framed in wood and is composed of compressed rock wool insulation and polyster wadding for safety and a nice brown decorative cloth
