Description

This is the third variation of my stereo listening system. Due to space constraints, I'm limited in the amount of equipment I can have. This particular system resides in my bedroom.

I've just gone to tubes for power. While I don't listen to vinyl, I love the sound of the tube amp. The Bel Canto DAC really brings my CD's to life and the reproduction via the Onix amp and Infinity speakers is just breathtaking. The Onix replaced a Bryston amp and B&K preamp. The Infinitys I've owned for eighteen years and have yet to find something that sounds better.

My cables are Tara Labs Prizm 100 series interconnects. I run a digital coax from the transport to the DAC. All power cables are factory supplied.

My goal at this time is to replace the power cables with higher quality cables. I also need a regular audio stand. I've got everything on a dresser top right now. I'm having problems finding something locally in the Tulsa, OK area.

I'd like to find good power cables that don't cost the earth. I'm also wondering how higher quality (silver) interconnects would effect my system. I'm open to comments, suggestion, and criticism.

Wes tulsa,
Try Guerrilla cables, they sound great! We use their copper interconnects as well as speaker cables, just burned in a set of Tara Labs "The ONE LE" spent an evening swapping between Cardas, Guerrilla, and the tara's, the Guerrillas are still in the system.
Good Luck.
