    • Aurender N20
Tremendous detail with a nice app. A bit easier to set up than the Innuos Pulse.

Recently upgrade the Silver Sonic with the DH Labs D-110 Silver Revolution AES/EBU cable. Just a bit more detail.
    • Bricasti Design M1S2 DAC
Tested against several high end DACs.  This matched or exceeded each of them.  Due to the filter options this DAC incorporates multiple final results from other manufacturers.

Added a DH Labs power cord. Slight improvement in bass definition. Once again, not certain of the cost benefit, but I am not inclined to go back.

Adding in a Silnote Orion M1 Reference XLR cable from the DAC to the pre-amp.
    • Linear Tube Audio MicroZOTL Level 3
The upgrade from Level 2 to Level 3 took my system from pure joy, to extreme pure joy!

Adding in a Silnote Orion M1 Master Reference RCA cable from the pre-amp to the SPL Crossover. The pre-amp does not have XLR output.
    • SPL Crossover
Takes the Acoustats to a much higher level.

Adding a custom Silnote Orion M1 Master Reference cable with XLR (only output available on the SPL) and RCA (only input available on the Pass Labs XA-25.
    • Pass Labs XA 25 Power Amp
    Simple and amazing
    • Acoustat 1+1 Speakers
Monolith bliss. Have owned them for 30+ years and appreciate them every single day.
    • Rythmik Audio Dual F12SE sub woofers
Fast enough to keep up with the Acoustats
    • Technics SL 1500C Turntable with an AT540ML cartridge and RigB chassis
Not the fanciest, but nice enough for my limited use (less than 5% of listening time).  The cartridge is an AT540ML upgraded with a RigB chassis (think AT740ML upgraded).
    • Marantz SACD 8003
rarely used.  primarily for SACD playback

The turntable location is at my wife's request. It started out on top, but she didn't like it there. She is tolerant of the huge redwood slab stand, dual subs, and the nine foot Acoustat 1+1 speakers. I can deal with the turntable being tucked on a middle shelf. I only listen to vinyl 5% of the time anyway.

Nice rack and system!  We have several components in common including the M1S2, XA-25 and the LTA pre.  I would move the turntable to the top shelf!

As an architect, I really appreciate the custom window shutters, expertly crafted to follow the window arch!  Well done!

@jond yes, that is the SPL Crossover.  I like having the option to easily adjust the crossover.

Cool rack I must agree

brunomarcs

Killer rack and nice system! Is the cool looking black piece with the meters your crossover?

Thanks mjcmt

Yes, I did build the rack.  I wanted a new one and was shocked by the price, so decided to build my own.  Love it!

Your audio rack, that I'm assuming you built, is the star of the show.
