This system has given me many blissful hours of listening. The key component is the speakers, which are truly world-class and have all the resolution, air and all the bass I've ever needed, while showing how good Pathos and Esoteric electronics are.
I am an avid listener of modern classical, especially electroacoustic music, with a generous dose of industrial, experimental and microsound, but at the other end of the spectrum I absolutely love early, troubadour and medieval music. It's all about the music, and listening to it in the most pleasurable way possible--as John Cage said, "to sober and quiet the mind".
Played with the idea of upgrading the amplifier, although I feel no great urgency in doing so. It will likely be a pair of monoblocks (tube or ss, haven't decided yet as I've heard very good units on both camps) and a reference tube preamp. Only after settling on an amp/preamp combo will I consider upgrading the CDP, and that would very probably be to the Esoteric P-03/D-03.
Thank you for the kind words! It's evolving, as I will be moving to the other side of the world in a couple of months and my main concern is really finding a place with a big enough room to set the system up properly (and hoping that everything gets there intact). We'll see...
