Thanks for all of the replies. I want to upgrage to a MC cartridge and maybe a better phono preamp. As fas as the cables go, I auditioned lots of stuff and this was the best combo for the money. The speakers are not bright at all and the amps are very warm so it is a nice combo.
McIntosh magic! My hats off too you for putting together a simple but awsome Mac system. I have always been a fan of McIntosh, surperb sound and even when silent, a great pride of ownership factor. Happy listening.
YOu have a nice system. If I may make a suggestion try different cables. I have auditioned the cables you are using in my system and found them to put forth an overly bright sound. I think that you would be pleasantly surprised how much better your gear sounds with some tara labs or shunyuata cables. Just an opinion.
