One thing about Vivid speakers, the drivers they utilize are really nothing special at all! Yet, they seem to be able to bring out speakers that are superb sounding and top flite in SQ. The new Moya 1 will have zero WAF, yet I would bet it will sound amazing, as it should do for the price. Only question is which interior designer is going to spring for them???
@ghdprentice Thanks, George! They do look like alien creations, and for good reason - to reduce resonance as much as possible. I’ve found no speakers that perform like them.
If you want to be even more scared, check out the new Vivid Audio Moya 1 speakers that were announced this week. Those monoliths weigh almost 800lbs per speaker and are reminiscent of alien aircraft thrusters.
Wow, that is impressive. I bet it sounds great. Not sure it wouldn’t give me nightmares of being taken by aliens. But, I am sure there are lots… well some folks that would like the look.
I heard the New Vivid Audio Giya G1 Spirit and the Vivid Kiya 90's at Bliss HiFi and at the time, I was not a fan of the Vivid series of speakers as I heard them maybe 6 to 7 years ago. Very new to the public market at the time. System that was running them was very good Hi-End electronics. Apparently I was playing strict attention to what I was hearing. This time I was absolutely floored by what I was hearing from these speakers. The most impressive part of listening was how much the speakers disappeared, along with how they emphasized each instrument. I can honestly say that I am a Vivid series fan now. Thank so much Juan. Terry.
Holy crap that is a magnificent system. I would imagine with all the white, that the contrast at night is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your system with us.
Thank you @mnappi@mjcmt and @arafiq for your kind statements. I’ll try to post more pics soon.
The diffusers behind my rack are indeed Vicoustic Multifusers. They do an excellent job of improving the clarity of the center image. I am a dealer for them and highly recommend them in that position and/or on the ceiling at first reflections.
Wow - amazing and unique system. The Giyas alone make such a powerful visual statement. Would love to hear them. I also like the acoustic treatment (Vicoustic?) on the window behind the rack. I think I need something similar. Impressive!
