Maybe give one of the Ayre or Audio Flight integrated amps a try. I've never heard them sound bad and might "wake up" the Cremonas nicely.

I worked at a dealership for a year and we preferred Spectral electronics with the Sonus Faber speakers; very detailed, but never harsh. Give them a serious listen, and see if you agree.

System edited: Although I'm very happy with how this sounds i have had the amp for 10 years and whilst the Mac sounds great with Sonus Fabers it does lack some detail. I would consider an upgrade and was looking at the Byrston 14B SST2 and their BP26 pre-amp........Any thoughts?
