I'm still looking for speaker cables to match the Accuphase-B&W system. I need 2x6 meters so i can't afford the top of the line Kimber or Siltech cables. I will try out the Kimber 8TC and Siltech New York LS cables. Any suggestion are welcome. I also want to try out a balanced interconnect.
many thanks!
p.s. I use Siltech power cables and a Siltech Octopus.
Kabouter - nice system, particullary the accuphase piece!!, I also use siltech with my Accuphase-based system. I would urge to try the higher models like SG80 or SQ88, you wont beleive it!
sorry for the delay... the equipment stand is the finite elemente spider rack. you can check their website http://www.finite-elemente.de/e,,distributors.html for distributors. The rack is very good and a huge improvement over any standard rack.
Try Nordost Red Dawns or SPM...we have similar minimal componets setup...solid state amps, dynamic reflex speakers, and detailed/precise digital. I recently replaced Kimber Hero IC and am currently looking for Nordost Red Dawns speaker cables. Inductance for Nordost are some of the lowest for the $$ in the industry. Their numbers support their excellent sonic results and results in a huge following. I have also had excellent result with Shunyata Hydra power conditioner and Shunyata power cables...it's really fun to a/b these things.
Your cables are MIT! I have no doubts! The right choice for the speaker cable is MAGNUM M1 BiWire and MAGNUM M1 Balanced interconnect between DP-55V and E-307 and so doing you'll get more openess, more bass response, more dinamic and more vivid mids and if you'll try MIT cables for the power you'll discover the NIRVANA! Belive me!
My system is of a smaller scale than yours, but I use Kimber 8TC and I think it is perfect.
Perhaps it might be a good idea to use two seperate runs on each speaker to bi-wire your system. Some combine 8TC with 4TC i.e. 4TC for the highs and 8TC for the lows. However I personally have no experience with these suggestions.
