Combined 2-channel and HT System

Description

Digital only, diskless, all SS. Mainly using Roon and Tidal for Rock and other music. Coming upgrades are power feed, DAC, switch, router, stands. 

The 2 channel system listed above also handles front LR in HT mode with an Anthem MRX-1120 handling decoding and Center and Surround amps driving PSB Platinum C4 and S2's.

Mixed use room is cathedral ceiling with centered-ridge going across full width, and well treated with GIK acoustics 8 244 FlexRange panels (1 pair high on side walls with built-in diffusors) and 4 soffit traps stacked in front corners, 4 Cathedral Sound venturi-effect damping panels, and thick carpet with hard plastic backing and dense acoustic pad. Stuffed furniture, 4x5' DIY 5/8" rubber carpet padding panel, and curtains. Front of speakers are 4' from front wall, ~5' from side walls and form equilateral 10.5' triangle with listening seat (reclining loveseat) which is 5' from back wall.

Nice to see you are paying attention to the room. Personally I would try a smaller equilateral triangle speaker setting, like 8ft. That way you could get speakers 3 ft from front wall and give you additional 2 ft for your listening chair from back wall. You will get better 3d and less reflection from back wall. Worth trying, folks usually place their speakers too far apart. Enjoy the journey!
