This photo was taken from (above) my listening chair. Sound is acceptable all over the room. This is the quietest room in the house so although the arrangement is a bit strange, being in the bedroom, it's my best option. I am not running the Toslink into the Motu in this photo; just going direct from Google CCA DAC. This system sounds great. My brother in law has a $100k system and this one is half+ as good to my ears. I have less than $4k into this system.
The classic puck with Spotify Connect with Toslink Out. I run two: One to the Integrated Amp and another to the Subwoofer. I have different speaker groups for low, medium and high level listening so get integrate the sub accordingly.
Rythmik Audio FM8
FM8 Direct Servo bass and midbass subwoofer
Sealed audiophile sub with dual 8" drivers and a selectable 50hz HPF
Nice system and a cool room. Looks comfy and having the guitars close at hand in case the urge hits is extra special. I have a soft spot for flying v's. Borders on maniacal. They also hang in my listening room as it just feels where they belong.
Nice rig! Great looking room. I’ve got an old MOTU D/A that I’ve wondered about trying in my system. May give it a go seeing yours. Don’t your strings go dead quickly leaving your guitars out?
@danknowlton oh, that photo is a month old. I do have a new guitar! (and a few under the bed ;) Rythmiks don't seem to get much love around here. They're so fast and clean...and reasonably priced. One of these days I'd love to hear the Ascend Acoustics Sierras. My next speakers will probably be JBL 3409s. There's some on ebay right now for $1100. Must. Resist.
Nice system but you need some more instruments - I'm struggling with that also!
My man cave system is my favorite as I am the only one controlling what is playing. Grace DAC - NAD integrated-Ascend Acoustics Sierra II's and a Rythmik F12. Since I play (mostly) bass I NEED great low end.
