My listening room is somewhat large (compared to my old one) and has a lot of diffusors and acoustic panels covering most of the walls, except the lower part of the walls which are carpeted. Overall the room is dead quiet and very well balanced for midrange and treble but I need to work on a couple of bass resonances. Thinking of buying some helmholtz resonators. I'm in the process of running a brand new 4 gauge AC lines to my system, but already have an isolated ground (I had a lot of ground noise before).
Classic LP12 with Decca unipivot arm and Dynavector cartridge. Gathering dust at the moment needs some parts. I've been happy with digital lately. Better than it used to be.
I have three of Danny's high inductance helical braid 8 gauge power cords. They sound great highly recommended. Better bass than my old Shunyata Python Alpha Helix.
Shunyata Research Alpha NR V2 power cord
Helical power cord with built-in noise filtration for my streamer / DA converter
iFi Audio iFi iPurifier
Digital noise-cancellation device for cleaning up your power. I have both AC and DC versions on various components.
Generic Chinese gear linear 14v power supplies
I have three of these 14v power supplies running various items that came with wall wart power supplies (router, modem, and hard drive).
I had a long run with Magnepan 3.6's - still miss them sometimes. I'd love to hear what the 30.7's can do. You must have a pretty darn big room. That's great - filling a big room with the big Maggies would be a dream!
