These are 3 systems side by side. My "A" rig is a pair of Marantz Model 2 amps in very good condition. I have the covers but do not use them. They are fed by an AudioMirror T61 Tube Preamp recently upgraded by Vlad at Audio Mirror. I steam lossless audio into the Preamp via a Auris Pro. Speakers are Snell C/V
The "B" rig is the Audio Mirror being used as a preamp into the McIntosh 202 amp. I use this for movies. TV -> Peachtree DAC itx and Speakers are Snell D.
The “C” rig is the MAC 4100 into the Snell J4’s
Upstairs is a NAD 3020 integrated and 4020 tuner into Snell K2 speakers
ALL cables are CHEAP ASS CABLES because us professional audio peeps know that as long as you have quality cabling (I.E. intact shielding and quality connections) all is well. :)
I am the third owner I believe. in 1995 a friend of my fathers called and said " If you can lift these you can have them!" THANK GOD I never did anything stupid like sell them or trade them! and THANK YOU Pete Marrera - May you rest in power.
Audio Mirror T-61
Very solid tube preamp. I paid under 1k and love this unit!
Peachtree Audio Dac-It X
I use this to stream audio from video - Great unit and easily available used. I think I paid $350?
Snell C/V
Just a KILLER speaker! I was a touring audio mixer for many many years and travelled the world with several top acts. This is as close to a "Meyer" sounding box as I have found. Best part? They are NOT expensive! I paid $550 for these C/V's
McIntosh 4100
What can you say? Classic! I use as a preamp/tuner.
McIntosh MC 202
Solid 200w Amp!
Snell D
Another GREAT speaker from a great manufacturer! I am a HUGE fan of 90's era Snell.
HHB Burnit
Solid CD Burner/Player - Hooked up to the McIntosh Rig.
Nice system, love Marantz and McIntosh! And I totally agree with your comment about outrageous priced cables that add virtually nothing to the sound! I will have to listen to some Snell speakers…
