Not having decades to work on building an endgame system I thought I would go for one from the start so I could just enjoy the music. There may be small changes here and there but for the most part this is it. Happy so far. I built the room while the speakers were being built. Professionally designed by Jeff at HDacoustics there is no drywall inside the room and this room definitely punches above its weight.
Hello mashif. Thank you. Getting into the hobby so late and not knowing anything about acoustics I figured I needed help. I met Duke LeJeune at Axpona and he  recommended Jeff Hedback of hdacoustics. He designed the room and I built it while my speakers were being built. He did a great job on the design and I’m very happy with how it performs. I did add some diffusers of his design as well and that helped get a fuller sound in the room.
Love that you built the room from scratch. I noticed the pegboard covering the treatment. That's something I've thought about but had never seen an example. Any info on that choice?
Thank you creditingkarma. I may give separates a try in the future but the Boulder had such positive reviews in the forums I decided to give it a try.Â
Thank you. I believe it was worth the effort but I was really sweating it before the speakers broke in as the bass wasn’t there. I thought it was the room.Â
I think it's incredible what you've done with a nearly square room and relatively low ceiling. The level of attention that you've put into building out that space must pay tremendous dividends. Congrats!
Thank you. I’m also looking into adding a REL or 2 as I think I have a mode in the listening position. We brought 2 S510s from the home theatre upstairs and that appeared to take care of it.Â
Thank you. I’ve been enjoying it very much. My dealer also sells Magico. We listened to the S5 with the Boulder 866. They sounded good but we preferred the Rockport. I haven’t heard the Krell integrated but they get great reviews and I would like to listen to it someday. It sounds like you have a great system. Happy listening !
You certainly have assembled a first-class system. I hope -- and trust -- that it will provide you with many, many hours of enjoyable listening. If life's current circumstances result in my having to downsize my audio system from its 14 components (not counting speakers and power-related gear) at present to an integrated amplifier and two speakers, your choices are two of the four I would likely choose, too. The others would be the Magico A5s and the Krell 300i (with integrated DAC). I am curious whether you evaluated either of those as possibilities for your endgame system.
Beautiful, simple, elegant system….just the way I like them.  Keep it simple and  focus on the music.   I am sure it sounds awesome.
Its amazing how popular the Bluesound Node has become.  I just wish it included support Chromecast since I subscribe to YouTube Music and can’t switch given a huge library of cherry picked playlists.
Thank you whitefishpoint1175. Our upstairs system was supposed to be movies and music but there were so many distractions and I knew a dedicated room would be much better we just went for it.
