I suppose sacrifice a children's book is worth it, but there are better options. Look for furniture hardwood floor slides similar to these to put under the spikes or speaker base. There must be something similar in your country.
I agree with you for 1 billion %. I have placed the speakers on top of large size old children's books, by sliding which I can move the speakers. I really love books, but in this case I decided to sacrifice it :)
Hello, Dolly. Thank you for your comment. I chose speakers for a long time. I can say that FYNE AUDIO were second in my rating. The first were Opera Mezza. But I had to solve several problems, this is the sound, this is the design and these are the dimensions, in particular the location of the phase inverter. The sound of the opera was undoubtedly better, but I also leaned in favor of the design, I also did not quite like the leather trim of the OPERA.
I listened to speakers from dealers with different amplifiers. OPERA sounded great with UNISON RESEARCH SIMPLY ITALI, probably because they are part of the same company. OPERA and FYNE Audio sounded good with MUSICAL FIDELITY 3 , and completely bad for me with CAMBRIDGE CXA81. Temporarily, now I'm listening to FYNE with YAMAHA WXA50. But I have already decided to purchase GATO AUDIO.
Stately room & tv system. Of course you know the drill - Timber-matched center and spread the L/R speakers apart, but that may upset the household harmony. But nice looking regardless.
