Pair of Audio Research Ref 160M Mk II amps - consecutive serial numbers
140 Watts per channel - fantastic operating and cosmetic condition - no issues
Outstanding and beautiful-sounding amps.
In Jan 2025, the amps were upgraded to MkII status with new tubes by Audio Research factory service in Minnesota - I have all receipts and can provide them if needed
Amps were given a complete check-up at that time
~$9,000 was invested in the upgrade and new tubes
450 hours on the current tube set.
I will also provide a spare set of tubes, which have ~1650 hours on them.
Amps were only used in a dedicated smoke and pet-free room. I am the 2nd owner.
The amps must be freight shipped. I am on the West Coast, the cost of shipping a small pallet to the East Coast is approximately $500 from here.
