From a professional review: Established in 1975, DB Systems is a manufacturer of high quality home audio equipment, including preamps, power amps, electronic crossovers, tone control, head amp, phase inverter, and accessories. The DB-1 preamplifier was among DB Systems’s first products and was well ahead of the competition at the time of its debut. To this day, the company offers revisions, original replacement parts and updates to all their products, and the DB-1 can well hold its own in the audiophile market.

This Pre-Amp had not been used for many years but has been stored clean in Air Conditioned storage for over 30 years. I recently brought it to pro electronics specialist "Cove Electronics" in Newport, RI to have it assessed, prepped and cleaned for use. I was advised that the aesthetic condition would be considered average but the functionality would qualify as very good. I recently contacted the manufacturer and replaced the Bass & Treble knobs with original replacements.
The 3 pcs that make up this Precision Pre Amp include the DB1 A, The DB5 and the DB 2 Power Supply. The DB1 A & The DB5 are rack mounted together whereas the DB2 Power Supply is separated by 70" cables to maintain a clean sound.

Special Conditions
These are vintage speakers. If they are shipped we cannot accept returns once the purchase is made and speakers have shipped and received. However, in the case that the shipping carrier or some part of the transportation process damages the speakers, we will honor a return of the speakers but the buyer will be responsible for return shipping cost. Likewise if you pick up locally, you can test it and save on shipping so we recommend a local pickup if possible.
