Omega Speaker Systems Super 8 High Output Monitor

Greetings, all! For sale here is this exquisite pair Omega Super 8 High Output Monitors. Omega makes some absolutely exceptional full range speakers and these are no exception. The Super 8s use Omegas very own 8 inch full range driver (made in the USA) in their "high output" configuration. In this setup, each speaker has two drivers: one which runs full range with no crossover circuitry and one with a single inductor which gently rolls off the high frequencies at around 200Hz. The result is a speaker with all of the holographic mid-range of a full range driver but with better bass, dynamics and better ability to represent complex passages. Plus these bad boys are very efficient (99db) so they will absolutely SING with only a few watts.

This pair previously had a older generation of the 8 inch driver, but I upgraded these with the current generation less than a month ago. These drivers have less than 20 hours on them, so they will definitely need some time to break in properly. The Super 8 has a sound that is large and definitely a bit rolled off on top. They're perfect for systems that are already a bit thin or airy or for folks who just like a darker or more relaxed sound (though I have also heard of folks getting good results with a super tweeter). I am selling this pair because I recently got some other Omegas which I prefer and I'd rather have the space/cash than the speakers at this point. As I mentioned, the drivers are practically brand new, but there are a few minor scratched on the speakers (see images).
