Garrard 301 Grease Bearing. Rebuilt by Loricraft in 2016 and used about 150 hours since. Chassis was not repainted because it was in excellent condition. Some small scuffs on the front; picture provided. This deck had an easy life before being rebuilt; not a barn find. Loricraft was the leading company to rebuild these decks until SME bought them to produce and sell “new” 301s.
See the article in Stereophile: Listening 204. These new 301s are selling for $23,500 with new plinth and SME M12 arm.
Comes with a Loricraft/Garrard reproduction box, and a lot of original documentation (see pics).
A new Budda bearing (sold new for $1,400 but you can’t get them anymore). Excellent way to reduce noise floor and increase dynamics.
A new Classic Turntables oversized platter ($686 plus shipping from CT in UK).
A new undrilled solid Baltic birch plinth (got this from Ukraine).
Total price for all $5,800. I will negotiate taking items like the original bearing, or platter or the new ones out of the sale but I'd rather sell all of it.
Buyer pays shipping, insurance and PayPal fees. I will accept F&F and waive PP fee. Pick up is welcome in Sacramento, CA.
Shipping calculated by the website is for the deck only. 16x17x22, 23.6 LBS
I’ll post dimensions and weights of the other items soon.
Actual shipping will be charged. Sometimes Audiogon gets it wrong.
