This is a great sounding pre amp processor, was modded and purchased brand new from the Upgrade Company. Over 90 components were changed and their exclusive shielding tech added, making the noise floor even lower. Many 2 channel vinyl guys use this units built in phono input. I found that it can be used in modern tv systems by plugging sources into your TV, then use the ARC to send audio to the Onkyo as hdmi 1.4 is full bandwidth for audio still, just not video. Still, it’s 4k capable video wise. You want this for its audio quality, as video has moved past hdmi 1.4. This was one of Dave Shulte’s signature editions, costing $3500 when I purchased it. It’s never been opened up or had any issues.
