 Greetings,

Thank you for taking a look at my listing of a Finale Audio (Triode Lab Audio) F-300B Mono Block amplifier. I am the only owner, and the amp has lived in a smoke/child/animal free music studio.
There are some very small scratches on the corner rear that can be seen in the pictures. The color is British Racing Green, however, in a darker room they do look black. Frank, the company CEO/Owner, is a race car fan, and the painting is British Racing Green, and done to a very high quality (which can't be seen in photos). Overall, these mono blocks have a fantastic 'classic' and elegantly 'simple' look.
Honestly speaking, after purchasing two Triode Lab/Finale amps (listing a Pre-Amp and  2a3 amp too), I stopped looking for other gear/amps. I tend not to like too much bass while listening, and these amps don't have 'extra' bass or bass bloat (especially compared to the Pass Labs SIT amp I sold -if you've heard one).. Because of this, if you enjoy a bit of extra bass, and don't have subs, I would not recommend these mono blocks. With that said however, these amps are very balanced, honest, and deliver remarkable texture and timbre. For some perspective, I sold a First Watt SIT 3 amp and a Luxman MQ 88-uc (which has quite a few awards) for my Triode Lab/Finale amps. As a musician that has listened to acoustic and amplified instruments for many years, for me these amps simply out class the aforementioned amps, along with others I've had in the past (McIntosh, Accuphase). If you're a classical music listener for example, these mono blocks deliver strong string instrument texture, and woodwind timbre that can cause goosebumps from good recordings.

The price does not include the pictured tubes, but I can include the Gold Lion tubes for $300. I did not include the actual shipping cost due to varied shipping preferences (one or two boxes). Also, due to their weight, I can include plywood in the box/boxes. The Audiogon shipping estimate gave a $75.00 price for one 16x16x16 box -for one mono block.

Sorry for the soap box, but please ask any questions about the amp, shipping, or about any of the listed parts on the parts list picture.

Thanks again,
robert

I’m looking for a pair of tube amps to drive the midrange and treble in a bi amped speaker. How is the high frequency response? I will be using ribbon tweeters.

Greetings, Thanks for having a look an my listing. Well, the amp's audio capacitors are certainly capable of delivering distortion free 4k to 20kHz frequencies (at least through my soft dome tweeters and Klipsch horns). I also did a frequency sweep (20k-20kH) with a sine, and saw, wave from one of my synths and didn't notice anything odd. However, I did notice that the tone/timbre was a bit more relaxed (less 'piercing') than the studio monitors/headphones that i use while working on my music. Also, the two instruments i listen to most often (violin and cello) sound fantastic with these monos.,, and give a good represention to how the amp handles higher frequency textures. A violin's texture, especially from a good recording, for example, is outstanding. Well, so are woodwinds actually. Anyway, I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you have any others.
