8/10 Condition - Second owner of this great amplifier. Initially Purchased in 2006.  All check-ups and work performed on the unit were accomplished by Ben Jacoby of High-End Audio Repair (authorized Audio Note repair facility) in Brooklyn. This is a consignment sale.  

The original boxes are not included. The owner is open to arranging a hand delivery if the sale is on the East Coast (relatively close to the Washington, D.C. area).

Work performed on the unit:
1) Replaced power transformer
2) Updated to newer resisters (Silver Tantalum 2W) 
3) Replaced the copper top (it wasn't necessary but had one small blemish)

This unit includes relatively new (approx. 200 hours) Audio Note 211 tubes and 2 other pairs of GE 211 tubes.  The 6463 tube was rolled to a Telefunken.  The CV4068 tube was rolled to a Brimar.

The Ongaku has been well cared for in a dedicated listening room.  The speakers it powered are Audio Note SEC Signatures that are also for sale.

The ONGAKU has rightly earned a place in history; its name is synonymous with the finest possible audio reproduction, and for once the reality is equal to the Legend!

 It is a Pure Class A Single Ended valve amplifier that uses the highly regarded 211 / VT-4C triode valve, producing a level of performance that is radically superior to any other current designs.

 Only the finest possible components have been employed: -

Audio Note (UK) silver wire has been used exclusively for all internal wiring, including all transformers and power supply connections.

Audio Note two watt Tantalum resistors have been used throughout.

All transformers are our own in-house custom designed and manufactured devices; driver and output transformers are fully silver wired AN-Perma 50 nickel C-core and the mains transformer is a fully silver wired HiB double C core.

No integrated amplifier has ever produced the levels of musical purity delivered by the ONGAKU… It is without doubt the finest possible integrated amplifier available today.
 
It has been specifically engineered for sonic performance rather than technical specification, and fulfils all Audio Note (UK) Level 5 criteria: -
