Hi Dan Thanks! I really love the Scott, I bought it to satisfy my curiosity about these particular vintage tube amps, what people say is really true, they're wonderful, well.. at least this 222D is. I can't see selling it, where would I go? it's so musical, it just gets the tone right. You know they used to voice amps with having musicians listen to recordings played through them and tweak them with the input they gave. There's such a simple common sense to this approach. There is an art form to build electronics that seems lost...it's not all about specs and numbers. To me it's more about tone. I used to live up on Waldron island, spent all my youth summers up there, and went to school on Orcas Island for a few years, actually took my drivers test up there! real easy too,I thought I got away with something! I haven't been to Whidbey in years, beautiful place too. If you ever come down around south Seattle (Renton area) send me an email and a heads up. Happy new year to you! Eric
Thanks Mjcmt, I sold my Accuphase stuff, but kept the C-200 pre,it's hard to beat for a preamp. The P-300 is great, but the Scott is just more musical to my ear.
I'm listening to hifi made before I was born and boy could the Fathers put a kit together! Ohhhhhh that vintage iron...
My System is now a H.H Scott 222D integrated amplifier, Polk LSi9 speakers, an ARCAM rDAC wireless and a bitchin REL sub, My best system yet!
