Tim Schroeder's childhood fascination with sound and music became a consuming obsession by teenage years eventually escalating into a career replete with success in the luthery, engineering laboratory, recording studio and now the listening room.

After studying at Columbia College in Chicago's audio engineering program and early experience at The Apprentice Shop (a Gibson Guitars warranty facility), Tim continued to train under Gary Brawer in San Francisco servicing legendary instruments and amplifiers for The Grateful Dead, Joe Satriani, Carlos Santana, Steven Stills, Henry Kaiser and so many more.

Upon returning to Chicago, Tim hung his own shingle and built a revered repair facility, but most notably designed and crafted a series of unusual and highly sought after archtop guitars, distortion pedals, amplifiers and cabs. Musicians like Rusted Root, Lucinda Williams, Drive by Truckers, Wilco, and more play on Tim's creations.
