Von Schweikert audio VR4 SR MK speakers. these were the last versions made…the unofficial MK

This is a rare sale; please read below. The speakers are incredible. These are more like white puppies. They don't have a connecting umbilical cord. There are two separate runs from the tweeters and the woofers. You can connect them with cables if you like, or you can go directly into amplification separately. These were set to be the newest model before the passing.

For your consideration, is this an exceptional pair of Von Schweikert audio VR4 SR MK III speakers?  This pair of speakers is unique from other MK III versions as it features the seldom-seen upgraded VSA/Scanspeak tweeters and midrange drivers. The upgraded mid-range drivers and tweeters came directly from Albert himself. These particular speakers have upgraded wiring by MasterBuilt Audio.  They sound lovely and have the finest imaging/soundstage I’ve experienced. Yes, these were the last versions made…the unofficial MKIV. I think they sound tremendous. 

 I have rated them a condition of 8, which I believe to be accurate in this case.  The speaker cabinets are free from any significant cosmetic shortcomings; there are no large scrapes, scuffs, or dings in the finish, visible from a distance of 3-4 feet.  Upon close inspection, however, you will discover the occasional small dimple in the finish or the occasional very light abrasion. I have done my best to picture these in the attached photos. There’s no damage to any of the forward-firing drivers.  The most serious cosmetic drawback for the speakers would be the rear-firing ambient tweeter domes, which, unfortunately, have small dimples.  This in no way affects the performance of the rear-firing ambient tweeters.  I should also note that the speakers come with grill covers that are in superb condition. 

  For anyone curious,   they have lived peacefully in a clean listening room. 

I probably don’t need to tell anyone seriously looking at this sale just how excellent and rare these speakers are. Excellent information is available online, and I’ll refrain from copying and pasting it here. Suffice it to say, this is the last speaker with DNA that was conceived of 100% from Albert’s mind before he passed away; they are unique.  I have the original velvet head unit covers and the original spikes. I do not have the original shipping crates.  Given these units’ size and fragile nature, local pick-up by the buyer is highly preferred. I can, however, arrange for Cartage.
