This sub is new and the box has been opened for inspection but it's brand new. Never been plugged in. I picked this up at Kefs HQ in NJ so the box is factory brand new condition and has the full warranty.

Force-canceling design for better clarity

The drivers are cleverly arranged in a force-canceling, back-to-back configuration that reduces noise and vibration, while KEF's proprietary Music Integrity Engine® ensures rich, dynamic bass with albums and movie soundtracks. Pair the KC92 with any of KEF's loudspeakers for a potent stereo or home theater experience.

A few years ago I bought the smaller sibling of this sub, the KC62, to pair with the LS50s in my small home office. I still can't get over how dense and inert that little sub's cabinet feels. Bass from music and video games is tight, clean, and hard-hitting.

According to KEF, the KC92 plays at volumes up to 110dB, about twice as loud as my smaller sub. I heartily recommend the KC92 if you have a medium- to large-sized listening room. And I suggest adding the optional KW1 wireless adapter kit if running a signal cable proves challenging. I'll note here that this subwoofer does not come with grilles. Instead, it uses color-matching cones that complement the enclosure's attractive finish.
