REL Stadium III Subwoofer

Here's a classic and one of the most musical subs available in spite of its age. This is a "one owner" original REL Stadium III in a natural cherry finish, complete with original packaging and paperwork. The sub has been in safe storage since 2011 so it has incurred very limited use (hours). If not for age, this sub would rate 9/10 easily.

In our opinion these were the best, most musical products REL ever built and were manufactured by the original UK based REL company, prior to being sold at least twice since that time with manufacturing now in China. These subs are particularly well matched with classic British speakers and can be "dialed in" incredibly well given their dual high and low level inputs. (This basically means that the sub will see the same signal realized directly by one's main speakers.)

Particularly important and increasingly unique, the Stadium III also employed a robust, high current 200W power Class A/B amplifier driving a remarkably fast 10 inch down firing driver, as opposed to today's deceiving "super high power" Class D amplifiers. If rattling the house is your objective, the latter products may be the way to go for you, but if musicality is a consideration, this Stadium is your answer, particularly in conjunction with great quality bookshelf monitors.
