Ars Sonum Filarmonia SXJ. One owner 10 years old and in excellent condition with a spare  set of matched JJ E34L output tubes tubes (all tubes test excellent) for $1,900 (retail new $4,950). . This Filarmonia SXJ is part of the older/earlier era of Filarmonia amps - it does not have the updated circuit board and power supply design found in later amps. And it does not have the better quality chassis mounted RCA jacks found on the later amps (i.e the SM versions and later). The X isn SXJ signifies this amp has upgraded input stage V-Cap audio coupling caps in place of the Hovland Musicaps found in the SE/SJ series of amps. This was a $250 option above the $4,950 retail new price of this amplifier. This amps has relatively low hours of use and is in excellent condition. The original owner is trading up to a new Ars Sonum Gran Filarmonia, so this amp is a trade-in.

Tubes tests very strong too - you should not need to change a tube in this amp for several years unless you want to do some tube rolling (DO stick to EL34 output tubes - The Filarmonia's self biasing circuitry does not like KT77s). The sound: Class A push pull tube goodness at its best without being overly warm, flabby, or rolled off sounding with terrific dynamics from such a compact package.
