VPI Industries HW-17

After I moved to a townhouse I found that I didn't have space in which to use the machine so I kept it in storage. It has been used lightly. Just before posting this ad I unboxed and tested the platter and vacuum and it works just as it should. I never actually used the fluid pump, but instead I applied the fluid manually (application brushes included). This made sense for me, since I have an LP collection of about 200 LPs and I didn't really need to clean them often or in such volume that the pump was needed. I didn't put fluid in the reservoir to test the pump before posting this ad, but I noticed that I had to press and hold the pump button about 5 seconds before the pump kicked in. As a note to potential buyers, I don't know whether or not the pump actually works. Cosmetically it's very clean as a reflection of its light usage. There is a small crack in the bottom front of the hinged dust cover, about 3/4 of an inch, but hardly noticeable. I see there are other similar VPI vacuum machines recently posted on this site. My asking price is considerably lower, mainly because I have not tested the fluid pump, and my approach to selling on Audiogon has always been conservative to offer buyers good value. My condition rating of 7/10 is conservative due to my previous comments about the pump, but cosmetically it's more like 8/10.
