I'm the original owner of this amplifier. I’ve conservatively rated it 7/10 because of a small scratch on front face but it is otherwise in excellent condition. It’s been a great home theater amplifier. I’ve enjoyed having it, but I recently bought an Anthem MCA525 Gen 2 amplifier.

The MM8077 home theater amplifier provides high-resolution sound reproduction. Its current-feedback power amplifier stage design offers a high slew rate and wide bandwidth for high resolution audio formats. A high current power supply with a massive toroidal power transformer provides substantial headroom for dynamic peaks and the ability to handle lower impedance speaker loads. Multiple high current discrete power transistors handle short term musical bursts even into difficult low impedance speaker loads. For more details, see https://www.marantz.com/en/product/av-separates/mm8077/MM8077.html.

From Kalman Rubinson’s review in The Stereophile (https://www.stereophile.com/content/music-round-59-page-2):
The most impressive part of the MM8077's performance was that I didn't miss my reference Bryston [9BST] amp. Overall balance and imaging were much the same as through the Bryston, and the MM8077 seemed to have all the power and transient response demanded by my all-Paradigm speaker array…

It wasn't that the MM8077 did anything better than the Bryston 9BST so much as that it was fully competitive with an amp costing several times as much, and with fewer channels. Of course, I used only five of the Marantz's seven channels, but as I came up against no limits of power or reproduction of transients, the MM8077 should perform as well with all cylinders clicking.

The amplifier includes the owner’s manual, detachable power cord, and the original shipping box (but will be shipped double-boxed). Shipping will be at buyer’s expense.
