Rotel's RDD-1580 DAC is a bit of a secret weapon. It may not be te name you go to for a high quality DAC however... Using dual Wolfson premium WM8740 converters in a fully balanced design, all powered by a regulated toriodal transformer, it performs at a level of DAC's up to 4X its price! We we're pretty stunned when we first hear this unit.
Its also extremely flexible with dual coaxial digital inputs, dual optical inputs and front and rear USB inputs. On top of that it has BOTH single ended RCA and Balanced XLR outputs. It not only sounds great but looks great too.
If you are relying on the DAC chip in your receiver or processor, you owe it to yourself to hear this DAC.

CONDITION - This is a one owner DAC and is near perfect condition. No sign of smoke, pets or kids. The face and case including the remote are all new looking.
