I consider this loudspeaker to be the absolute sonic pinnacle of dynamic reproduction. As well as the most beautiful and well made. German perfection in Butterfly-mirrored veneer pyramided mahogany. 

Background: I drove the Akira very successfully with Audio Note Kagura’s and my own manufacture Berning / Hi Fi One 20 watt 845 SET, 60 watt 845 push-pull and 220 watt Quadrature Z amps.

The impedance and electrical phase measurement: from 375 hz to 50K it remains above 6 ohms.  From 375 hz to about 60 hz, it drops below 6 ohms, reaching a low of approx. 3.8 ohms at around 115Hz.  The phase angle is essentially flat compared to most speakers because of excellent engineering. Based on the overall impedance plot it is an easy nominal 4 ohm load. And approximately 87 to 89 decibels efficient.

If you’ve read this far, you know the fit, finish and manufacturing process and components used in this speaker define the entire category – the best extant. Sonically read the Stereophile review or any of the Munich show reports. They all say the same thing.

This pair is 9/10 rated. I am the only owner. I have all packing materials. This pair was first delivered in Dec 2015. They’ve been in exactly the same place since then. Never moved. No smoking or pets. No fingerprints in the transparent piano lacquer. Just broken in which takes 800 hours.
