Ascendo GmbH C8 Renaissance Piano Black Awesome!

This pair of piano black Ascendo C8 Rennaisance loudspeakers have some paint damage which can be readily touched up but are in perfect working order.  The damage spots are on one loudspeaker, one on rear top, small ding on one side and small ding to varnish on top front right.  These can be fairly easily repaired even with a little high gloss black paint.  Pricing reflects these issues.   These loudspeakers have been highly reviewed including a super review by Anthony Cordesman in TAS. They are extended across all frequency ranges with superb ambience retreival from their rear firing ribbon tweeter and very defined and palpable low end response from their patented band pass bass design. The speaker looks like a one way design but actually employs a coaxial driver for midrange and tweeter, an internal bass design, and a rear ribbon tweeter that can be turned on and off with a switch for increased ambience retrieval. There is very little that can come close to the performance of these speakers particularly at this price range. They combine extreme musicality with easy placement and an unusually balanced and coherent presentation.
