For sale is an EMT OFD 15 mono phono cart in excellent shape, a cousin to the iconic and better known OFD 25 cart. This device was part of beloved Stereophile magazine editor Art Dudley’s personal collection and works particularly well with the Hommage SUT. The OFD 15 has a 0.7mil spherical stylus, tracks between 3-5 grams, and of course works best with high mass tonearms such as EMT, SME, and Ortofon.
Being a “true” mono cartridge, the OFD 15 was bridged by James at High End Repair in Phoenix to play through both channels.
Since purchased a few weeks ago from a fine seller, I have yet to remove from box, so this extraordinary cart needs a new home.
I am including an Ortofon adaptor, if needed, in the asking price.
