My Audio Design MAD 1920S, UK-made monitor speakers.The S model is the upgraded version of the 1920 monitor.
They sound similar to the LS3/5a, with more bass and can play louder. Lovely non-fatiguing sound, nice treble. Classy.
Condition 7/10 but they look mint on stands. The gloss paint is near perfect. Magnetic grills. If they are removed they can be seen to have different weaves. A few marks here and there (one mark on one velvet-covered front baffle, visible in the photos, and one hairline scratch on the base of one speaker, (but I’m reaching here). Original box included.
Specifications: 145mm mid-bass unit coupled with a 22mm neodymium supersonic tweeter, to 40kHz. Crossover frequency 2kHz. Cabinet with Damping Resonance Control technology. Internal wiring is 99.9% pure litz copper conductors and 99.99% diamond silver for the tweeter.
4 ohms impedance. 90dB sensitivity
