I'm selling my TAD Reference One Mk II, they are pommele sapele (Red) as you can see in the pics and they are in great shape. I've owned several of the best speakers in the world, MBLs, B&Ws, Apogee Ultimates, Von Schweinert Ultras, and so on. The TAD R1's are in a league of their own, they are the most dynamic, realistic speakers I've ever heard. They can play easy at night, still dynamic and you hear everything orrr you can crank them up to concert levels and they carry on without any strain at all. Everyone talks about the midrange and treble performance but the mid and low bass is as breathtaking as the midrange and top end, you constantly hear notes you have never heard or felt before. They give you an audible and a physical experience.
I used the R1's with a few different amps mostly Krell 900E's but they don't seem hard to drive, I think they sound great with tube amps too. I used Cardas cables with them which sounded very neutral, rich and detailed, never harsh. Once I had them in place I never moved them, they just sound wonderful.
They weigh 400 pounds each, more with the moving pallets they attach to and their boxes. They attach to the pallets with 3 beefy bolts where the feet attach normally, you need 2 people to unpack them and get the feet on. Once the feet are on they are pretty easy to set up and move around for a 400-pound speaker. The bass speaker transport covers (grills) have a few small dents in them but they are only there to protect the drivers when being moved. The speakers are in very nice shape I don't really see any issues with them. I love these speakers, they are gorgeous to look at and listen to. Fast, articulate, and shockingly dynamic, they are just as musical as it gets.
Locally I can drop the speakers off or the buyer can arrange shipping and I will help work it out after payment has cleared.

Questions for the seller
It appears like the right front top corner of the speaker on the right has minor damage. Or is it the lighting ?

no damage, just lighting.
How old are these speakers?

I'm not sure exactly I will try and find out for you.
