Selling a pair (two) of Schiit Audio Tyr Amplifiers.
Original owner. Purchased both new from Schiit in July 2023.
2024 Stereophile Recommended Solid State Amplifier (with an "A" rating).
Both look great and work great. Low hours.
Only blemish is on front left corner of one of the units (happened during original unpacking - no impact to performance/sound). See images.
Come with all original boxes (each double-boxed) and packaging. Will ship both via FedEx.

How did you like your schiit setup? It looks like you were running freya and tyrs? Did you like the LIM? I'm still running A1. I cant decide which flavor to get. Why are you selling the tyrs? It was all very enjoyable and when everything was warmed up and the right song came on it was audio nirvana.
I was running the Freya+, Yggdrasil LIM, and the Tyrs. The LIM was an improvement over my original Yggdrasil that I got in early 2020. It definitely liked to be warmed up for the best possible sound but after a week or so I found it best to shut it down and restart. It had a warmer sound that my other Yggy while also providing as much detail.
But I have hard to drive speakers (the most expensive part of my system) and while the Tyrs sounded great most of the time, I felt like I was maybe missing some low end punch. So I made the decision to buy a more expensive and powerful amp. It does sound better, but at about a 25% cost premium I’m really only getting about a 5% improvement in the sound. Not really any improvement on most material, but such is the cost of always trying to find audio perfection. And I decided to keep the new amp.
My next big purchase was a new, more expensive DAC. A really nice unit from Weiss. That made the Yggy and Freya+ expendable.
So while I really enjoyed all the Schitt gear, I’ve moved on to more expensive stuff. That’s why I’m selling it all… |
