This Ovation turntable has been lightly used at a non-smoking summer home. It features a rock solid and lovely Panzerholz chassis, a ceramic magnet bearing, and optical speed control. It is equipped with a Clearaudio Clarify carbon fiber tonearm. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE KOETSU URUSHI GOLD CARTRIDGE IN MOST OF THE PHOTOS, WHICH IS LISTED SEPARATELY. With a full price offer I will include an excellent condition Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge at no additional charge. I rate the turntable as very good. There is some minor chafing on the polished aluminum strip around the upper edge, but it is otherwise excellent, as is the tonearm. This item will ship to you carefully packaged in its original packaging, with original tools and manuals. New Ovations with a comparable tonearm are now selling for a whopping $12K.

A couple of more questions, to confirm this is the model with the magnetic suspension for the platter and I also just want to make sure that this was a unit built for US specifications not a European model that was modified aftermarket to account for the voltage differences. And also yes, this is a US model. It does come with plug adapters for UK and Europe, but it is a US model from day one. |

I rated it very good because of very minor chafing on the aluminum trim piece which is the front top edge. Most would probably say excellent, but the definition is very clear about any marring on the front of the item.
