Linn Sondek Klimax LP12-50 50th Anniversary Edition Klimax LP12

This is the Linn Sondek Klimax LP12-50, limited 50th anniversary edition.  It is one of only 250 made which are reported to be close to sold out.  It was co-designed by Linn and Jony Ive, long time head of design at Apple and responsible for products from the first iMac up through iPhones and iPads.  His influence is visible in the reshaping of the inside corners of the plinth, top plate and Keel as well as the new power switch, hinges and hinge plates - all machined out of aluminum.  The LP12-50 features Linn's new Bedrok plinth machined out of a single piece of a very dense and dead laminated wood material that is quite attractive with a look reminiscent of the early fluted LP12s.  It also includes all the premier Linn components of the top Linn Klimax LP12: the latest Karousel bearing, the Ekstatik MC phono cartridge, Ekos SE/1 tonearm, Radikal 2 motor and power supply with the preferred, very attractive, machined from solid billet case (this one in black finish).  Also the Keel solid aluminum sub chassis and the Urika 1 internal MC phono stage (powered by the Radikal), both unique versions made specially for the 50th anniversary special edition model.  All the parts needed to assemble the unit are included including high quality headshell wires and Linn Silver interconnect cables to go from the Urika 1 to your preamp.

This LP12-50 50th anniversary limited edition is new in the three unopened boxes all the goodies come in.  It can be shipped this way to the lucky person who purchases this unit.  There are three sizable cartons and a fair bit of insurance so the shipping will not be cheap and will be the responsibility of the purchaser.  Alternatively, if you are willing to drive out and pick it up it can be expertly and precisely assembled, set up and fine tuned by ThomasOK, The LP12 Whisperer.  There is no additional charge for this setup.
