Unmistakable McIntosh aesthetics and build-quality
The C8 uses superior design and construction to deliver tube warmth and detail with a vanishingly low noise floor.

With its sturdy polished stainless steel chassis, distinctive green McIntosh logo, and glowing valves, the C8 really looks cool and feels solid. A pair of large front-panel knobs control source and volume as well as different menu-accessed audio settings like bass, treble, and balance. The options and settings show up in luminous blue on the preamp's central screen.


Versatile analog connections
This preamplifier has balanced and unbalanced analog inputs and outputs for handling your different sources. That includes separate adjustable-load RCA phono inputs for both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges that you can even fine tune on the fly using the included remote.

A home theater bypass feature lets you incorporate the C8 (and your connected amplifier and speakers) into your multichannel surround sound system. The front left/right signals from an A/V processor or surround decoder can pass through your choice of inputs on the preamplifier, adding richness and detail to your home theater's front speakers.
