McIntosh MC-2205 Stereo Power Amplifier - 200 Watt/CH Classic Receiver

If you’re looking to get into McIntosh sound but need an absolute powerhouse, the MC-2205 was one of the most popular receivers from the 70s.  With an incredible 200 watts per channel, the 2205 was built to last and sounds great for as long as you and your kids owned it.  It’s built like a Mac, sounds warm and lush, and has power to spare to drive even larger floor-standing loudspeakers.  It’s the perfect amp to bring some classic speakers to life.

We serviced the unit since it had a few front panel lights out.  (We are an authorized McIntosh service center) Both channels play clean and clear.  All bulbs have been replaced so they match in color and intensity.  The VU meters have been cleaned and look nice.   The faceplate is free of scratches.  The wood case is in surprisingly good condition with the exception of a bit of sanding and staining on the right side and a chipped left lower corner.  Easy fixes and you'll have a beautiful piece.

CONDITION -  Unit is clean, all controls have been services and cleaned.  All channels are clear and quiet.  Replaced bulbs as needed.
