For Sale is a pristine Acurus A150 2 channel amplifier – 150 Watts rms of super clean power with very high dynamics and in virtually perfect condition - Made in the USA!  Just a lucky find from someone who took care of this amp and kept it in a super clean environment.

If you are looking for a great deal on a great 2-channel amp, this is it!

Original manual and warranty card, however no box so a local pickup is preferred.  For anyone willing to have a packaging store create a safe box, I support that approach at the buyer’s direction and cost.

The Acurus brand is part of Mondial, which also manufactures the acclaimed Aragon amplifiers. Both Aragon and Acurus amps are coveted by audiophiles everywhere for both their phenomenal performance and value. 

The A-150 is the more desireable first generation Acurus amplifier. If you have listened to the A150 compared to the A200, there is a sonic difference.  Mondial has since been acquired by Klipsch in what can only be considered as a very smart move by Klipsch, and is also good news for owners of these great amps as Klipsch / Mondial still provides service, and the manual and other info is available for download on the Klipsch site:

Real Glass Epoxy Circuit Boards

Unlike many other amplifiers in the Acurus price range, all of our amplifiers employ glass epoxy circuit boards. Is glass epoxy really superior to the paper circuit boards found in the mass-produced product? Absolutely. That's why all medical and military equipment specifies glass epoxy.

Heavy Gauge Copper Wire Wound Toroidal Transformers

Instead of El or thin-gauge toroid transformers, all Acurus amplifiers have very heavy gauge copper wire toroidal transformers for continuous power into lower impedance, real world speaker loads. Some amplifiers, selling at over twice the price of Acurus, use only small transformers found in noisy car stereo power supplies in the name of efficiency.

This amp stays very cool even when driving difficult speakers, works perfectly and has been treated with great care. It also has virtually no superficial blemishes, no bent fins – no issues whatsoever.  Functionally it is perfect.
