The Ultimate idler drive turntable. Maybe the ultimate turntable period, as long as you like power, snap, drive and finesse all in the same package. It lets you hear the power and drive waiting in the grooves. I’ve spent ten plus years on and off finding the right combination of materials to tame the excess energy from the high torque motor so it won’t find its way to the platter or armboard. All I can say is this package works. This plinth design along with new motor isolation techniques make this table as quiet as the best belt drives but with speed stability a belt drive can only dream of. Imaging is as solid as it gets. Takes almost two weeks just to get the motor unit ready for the plinth. This turntable should outlive all of us. It is that well engineered and built. The plinth is unlike any plinth I’ve ever built internally. The Commonwealth is unique. So is the plinth. This package comes with the necessary outboard power supply and special power cord. All you need is an arm and cartridge with which we can help.
