Pass Labs
Pass Labs is a manufacturer of high-end amplifiers, preamps and speakers founded by Nelson Pass and based in Auburn, California.
Amp guru Nelson Pass founded Pass Labs after having previously helmed Threshold, where he developed the Statis amp series that Nakamichi would go on to license. Pass' first entry with his namesake operation was the Aleph series, which featured heat sinks on all four sides of a cubed design to equally distribute the heat generated by its Class-A circuitry. The Aleph series is continued today by First Watt, another Pass company that acts as a DIY-friendly "mad scientist" offshoot of Pass Labs and its successful Xs line of amps and preamps.
