Naim Audio
Naim Audio Limited is a hi-fi audio manufacturer based in Wiltshire, England, that was founded in 1973 by Julian Vereker and Shirley Clarke.
Naim amplifiers and preamps did good business in the company's early days, but Naim really made a name for itself in 1983 with the NAIT, its first integrated amplifier. Its small size and unknown power specs (yup, they released it without specs) made it highly controversial, as audiophiles and other manufacturers alike wondered how they got such sound out of such a tiny bugger. They'd later start producing high-end CD players, all-in-one players and dedicated streaming players (like the Naim ND5 XS). Which they'll then want you to pair with a Naim DAC, of course.
